Greenville
The neighborhood of Greenville is a census-designated place or CDP located in the northern region of New Castle County in the state of Delaware. The bedroom community spans 1,753.6 acres and includes 12.8 acres of water, such as Little Mill Creek. Greenville Place is located in the southern section of the community, while West Farm is in the northern region. The community is one of the two richest neighborhoods in the state.
History
The community is home to several descendants of the Du Pont family. The Du Pont family began in the area with Pierre Samuel du Pont de Nemours. The French-American writer was the father of the founder of the E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, Éleuthère Irénée du Pont. They are still considered one of the richest families in the United States and began claiming their fortune with sales from gunpowder. Neighborhood
The wealthy community is located in the Red Clay Consolidated School District. Some of the schools the residents attend include:

There is a historical estate off Kenneth Pike that was designed using a Colonial Revival style in 1927. It is known as the Holladay-Harrington House, a two-and-a-half-story stuccoed house designed by architect E. William Martin.
St. Joseph on the Brandywine is located on Old Church Road. Portions of the Catholic church were built in 1841. As early as 1813, the area had a strong presence of Catholic believers. In order to fulfill the need for a place of worship, other than the households they originally conducted mass in, they petitioned the Diocese of Philadelphia in the 1830s. The church was dedicated in 1842, with additions made in 1848 to house its 550 parishioners.
